All dogs shed.

Heck, all animals shed. Either skin, or hair or both.

You can’t prevent it.

You can keep it under control by feeding a high quality diet and grooming the dog frequently to remove dead hair.

You can’t. Dogs shed. But good quality food will help lessen the shedding. And regular grooming too.

well what kind of dog do you have sometimes if you brush them alot it helps or maybe your dog has allergies, mine does and that is was causes the shedding.

4

A good quality food. a supplement like Shed Stop or Show Stopper, a good brush/comb or furminator.

5

With research before buying or adopting your dog you would have read that all dogs practically shed( especially certain breeds)
Only thing you can do to keep it down is by brushing and watching the food she eats.

fact of life. dogs shed. brushing daily helps a lot. . . lillyann8

Dogs shed with the seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall and even Winter. Daily brushing and combing will help. If not daily, every other day. I brush and comb our 2 dogs everyday along with our 2 cats. It only take about an hour and I do it while watching TV. A good shampoo will help but not eliminate the problem.

The best thing you can do is brush him once a day outside that will get rid of all the dead hair that is just hanging on. Try having him groomed to cut down on the amount of hair. Good luck.

The shedding can’t be prevented, it can be controlled with daily brushing with a shedding tool.

If allergies are the issue, then it may be the dander (skin) not the fur.

Foster’s and Smith sells Allerpet as does the Asthma and allergy catalog.

You can’t stop a dog from shedding. ALL dogs shed, even though some breeds are said to be a ‘non-shedding’ breed….they all shed. They have to get rid of their summer and winter coat in the fall and spring. If you don’t want dog hair everywhere…..don’t get a dog. You can reduce the amount of shedding by brushing the dog every day. You don’t want to keep bathing your dog, they have natural oils and other stuff in their skin that are supposed to be there and bathing them too much will get rid of those.

Another thing……you shouldn’t have to give a dog away just because it sheds. My dog sheds, but I don’t care…..An outfit isn’t complete with out a little dog hair. :)

i have a pom and all he does is shed.. its insane.. i vaccum almost every other day and there is still hair everywhere…
my recommendations..
1. get a slicker… and brush him everyday
2. get a furminator.. this costs about $60 i think at the petstore and it is expensive.. but there are alternative options that are cheaper.. you can try a furbuster that costs about $20… and if you are on a limited budget, try the shed ender and this is about $10 and can be found at target………. these things are amazing… no joke, i have handfuls of hair from my dog after im done

As previously stated, all dogs shed. However, if you begin a food regimen that balances your dog’s current food with 1-2 eggs and 1-2 pieces of bread a day, you’ll notice your dog’s coat of fur will have a much glossier look, it will be much healthier and should noticeably shed much less periodically.

For my goldens i foster, I keep them on high quality dog food and groom them with the furminator 3x a week. I still get furballs around the house but not too many as before. Prevention is key! Buying a good quality vacuum cleaners can do wonders.

When using the furminator be sure you are outside! Because it’s unbelievable how much hair comes out. They also have special shampoo and conditioners that can HELP not cure shedding.

Good luck! And i hope you can keep your dog!
