Depends on what you are wanting it to accomplish? In general, my vote is for Four Paws, available at many pet shops. It's not terribly expensive, and it comes in different types, such as deoderizing, whitening, flea killing, and oatmeal (especially for itchy skin), and more. You can probably find the type you need in this brand. I used it with all my dogs and was always very satisfied with the results! Good luck!

I use Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash for humans. It is very moisturizing and help cut back on dander, but if your dog has sensitive skin, then you would need to use one that is made especially for dogs that has no fragrance added.

I've had 2 vets tell me baby shampoo was just as good as most dog shampoos, not to mention it's much cheaper and won't sting the eyes.

If there is something messy or sticky in your dog's coat, though, you'll want to use something a big stronger. Diluted dishwashing liquid can work, and Doc Bronner's organic soap (you dilute this stuff, too) is also great.

I prefer malesab, keeps the dog smell away, and kills yeast, etc. Doesn't lather well, however, so usually I use a good quality human shampoo, then follow up with it to get rid of dog odor.....

there are so many different types of shampoos that it's all a matter of opinion. depending on your dogs breed and type of hair, you may need a deshedder or if they hve skin allergies an anti- itch. your best bet would be to get your vets opinion on which shampoo to use to best suit your dog.

It really depends on what you want to use it for. I use just human shampoo and conditioner, but if they have sensitive skin or allergies you might have to use something else. Adam's flea and tick shampoo is really good and so is mycoderm shampoo for dogs.
