Don’t use puppy shampoo, it strips them of all the oils that protect them. Buy some baby shampoo, like johnsons baby bath or something like that.
We used puppy shampoo when we first got a puppy, which gave her a rash, my mum took her to the vet, who advised her to use baby shampoo.

actually puppy shampoo works fine on my dog who is currently a puppy at 6 months and we have been bathing her with it since we got her at 12 weeks so puppy shampoo is great. but if it doesnt work out then ask the shelter or the vet and do not use human shampoo for many reasons

I use Buddy Wash shampoo and conditioner. Smells really nice and leaves the dog shiny and clean.
No human shampoo. Dogs ph are different from ours.

Congrats on your new dog! If I were you I would stop at PetCo. and browse the shampoo/conditioner isle for some really great all-natural dog shampoos. There are some amazing brands out there now and you don’t have to buy them from a specialty shop. You can look at the ingredients and smell the different options to find the perfect one for you and your dog. I love to buy Organic Shampoo/Conditioner combos and often they come with a little freshening spray to use in-between baths.
Take a look at these products, look at the ingredients to get a better idea of what the quality products have in them. All of these have been vet approved! (Scroll down to Pal Dog Organic Puppy System)
