Help, will this work to rid our cats and house of fleas?

By

We have 2 Beautiful cats Mikee http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.php?pid=736385&id=1436507479 and Cooper http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.php?pid=736386&id=1436507479, they are great cats but about a month ago they got outside, we finally got them in after about an hour. But in the last 2 weeks the cats have had fleas, and it just kept getting worse. We didn’t notice it right away because they have such thick hair and Cooper is so big. By the time we realized it the fleas were in our house, so we gave the cats a bath and put a collar on them (realized it was bad after getting on here so took them off right away) we then called the vet because they were going in today to get neutered she said she would give them Frontline, and they could keep them until this morning. So we went out and bought carpet spray and carpet powder, we have sprayed ALL the carpets and the furniture and used the powder on all the carpets and the furniture, to make sure we got them all. We plan to vacuum up the powder before we go and get the cats. (we want to make sure it has stayed on for at least 12 hours) Do you think all this will work to finally give the cats and us relief? Anything else we can do?
Opps sorry this is Cooper, http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.php?pid=736386&id=1436507479
The powder is flea and tick killer it saws it kills fleas for 30days and eggs for 1 year. But I don’t know.

Fleas don’t like the taste of people, only cats and dogs. So don’t worry. Even sweeping them up with a sweeper will kill fleas.

Try using a flea bomb… Fleas can hold on to carpet fibers… I don’t think just vacuuming is going to work… maybe if the powder you used was designed for fleas, but I would still flea bomb the house just to be safe

should work, you may have to do the house again, cos if you didnt use a powder that kills flea pupae, they will re emerge under the right conditions, apparently they can lay dormant for up to a year!
