Are there any anti-bacterial sprays you can use on your dog?

By

I had a kidney transplant recently and need to be very careful about bacteria. I have some pain that makes giving the dog a bath so frequently not a very good option. I just caught her rolling on a dead shrew (like a small mouse). I’m willing to take my chances, but was just wondering about a simple solution.

there is no such thing. apart from what vet’s use to prepare them for surgery. Let your dog stay with someone till you are better.
Dogs should not be bathed frequently. No more that 3-4 times a year. which is once every 3 months.
Their skin is different to humans. It will dry out, and they will have irritations, rashes and allergies. Too much bathing strips the dogs natural oils.

Can you us a wet wash rag with Dawn dish washing soap on it and clean her/ him that way? Or Plain anti-bacterial hand soap. Good health to you.

First of all, I am very sorry for you horrible health problems but blessed be you received a kidney!

Actually, if you can afford it, have someone take your dog to a groomer.

And ENO is wrong. If I only bathed my dogs 3 to 4 times a year, they would not only stink the oils of their skin would mix with the dirt from outside and that starts the chewing. Almost every dog in a shelter is filthy dirty to the touch.

This is WHY people say this: Dog shampoos are full of as many chemicals and perfumes as humans. If you go online and buy a holistic shampoo with all natural ingredients you can bath your dog every day.

Many dogs are allergic the perfumes in shampoos.

Anyone interested in where I am getting my info and more information, just email me.

Dial hand soap will do a great job!
Wash a second time with a mild shampoo.

I’ve been washing my dogs this way for better than 30 years and they have never had any skin problems. Their coats are always shiny and they smell good.

My Vet completely approves of my method!
